Over the years, Yen Bai province has issued many policies, mechanisms, reformed administrative procedures to attract and invite investment to the province. In 2017, the province strives to improve the score of components, increase the total score, put the PCI in the middle group of the nation (from position 47 to position 42 - 43) and strive for group of leading provinces in the northern mountainous area.

To achieve this goal, the province identifies improvement of the investment environment, enhances the competitiveness of the province as one of the key tasks. The province has made great efforts in creating a transparent, friendly and open environment in business investment for investors and enterprises to help them feel secure in production and business. The province has also set up the Action Plan on "Improving the investment environment and enhances the provincial competitiveness for the period of 2015-2020", set up three working groups, namely the investment attraction group chaired by the chairman of the provincial People's Committee, to advise, support to study investment opportunities, guide the investment procedures in the province; removing the difficulties and enterprise development promotion group by the vice chairman of the People's Committee;

In addition, the province has reviewed, supplemented and amended the mechanisms and policies for economic development, supporting the development of enterprises in the direction of both encouraging investment attraction and encouraging enterprises to expand the scale, improve management capacity, increase product quality, expand market.

Annually, the provincial People's Committee holds a meeting to meet enterprises at the beginning of the year; Every month, the program "Coffee entrepreneurs - Government accompanies businesses” to share difficulties in the process of production and business. The province is determined to promote administrative reform, publicize the information related to investors, create conditions for accessing and applying preferential investment policies, especially land preferences, implement strictly commitments to enterprises, especially policies on support, ground clearance, infrastructure investment, labor training ...

At the meeting to honor enterprises and typical businessmen in the first of October 2017, the Chairman of Yen Bai People's Committee Do Duc Duy emphasized: "In order to create favorable conditions for attracting enterprises and investors to invest in the province, Yen Bai has made efforts to improve the investment environment, reform and simplify the administrative procedures, step up the restructuring and renewal of State enterprises,  restructure enterprises, accelerate the development of small and medium enterprises, encourage the start-up of enterprises, create a healthy competitive environment, create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to develop production and business, creating a transparent and open environment”.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee also asked the provincial business associations to strengthen cooperation activities in the Association to share and help businesses and businessmen; Identifying administrative reform is a key task in order to  attract investment, supporting production and business, create a transparent business investment environment; At the same time, respect for equality between economic sectors; fully implement the preferential mechanisms and policies of the State and the province for enterprises; create conditions for encouraging production and business activities, contributing to the provincial socio-economic development.
