Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh had a speech at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by relevant authorities from Điện Biên, Hà Giang, Hoà Bình, Lai Châu, Lào Cai, Phú Thọ, Sơn La, and Yên Bái provinces.

The program of cooperation agreement on tourism development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the eight Northwest provinces is an important activity to develop tourism.

In the spirit of support, mutual assistance, equality, mutual development and ensuring practical efficiency for the community, tourism businesses play a decisive role in implementing this cooperation and content.

The Conference will be estimatedly held on 21-22nd  August in Phu Tho province. In the framework of the conference there will be many activities: building up the programme for connecting and developing tourism; online forum to receive ideas for developing tourism; displaying special tourism products; high level leadership conference on cooperatipn among 9 provinces…

Having speech at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Province People Committee highly approprated the meeting; Mr. Khanh confirmed that Yen Bai province has a large potential in tourism however exploiting toursim limited. Deploying cooperation will help Yen Bai province promote tourism potentials and exploit the advantages on tourism resources. Since then, the province will focus on promoting cooperation in tourism development, improving the effectiveness of inter-regional tourism development, thereby tourism will contribute to socio-economic growth, tourism attraction and investment of the province.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the Plan of implementing tourism development cooperation activities, and suggested adding two specific tourism products of Yen Bai province: community tourism and adventurous travel. Yen Bai Province committed to work closely with localities in the Northwest provinces to implement the proposed program .
