On the morning of December 18, Yen Bai Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Multilateral Trade Policy Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a conference directly and online to propagate international economic integration and new generation of free trade agreements.

At the Conference Mr. Ngo Chung Khanh – Vice Director of Multilateral Trade Policy Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) introduced about the trend of economic intergration; the impact of the region and the world on the process of international economic integration of Vietnam; roles and importances of e-trade in economic intergration activities; chance and and challenges in exporting goods for commodity products, especially key products with potential and advantages of Yen Bai province.
According to experts, with a wide range of commitments and a high level of commitment, the EVFTA will help Vietnam in general and Yen Bai province in particular continue to reform the institution and legal framework, and improve the business environment. However, businesses will also face many challenges when participating in new-generation free agreements, which require businesses to quickly improve production processes and quality control in production to meet the requirements as well as strict requirements on imports into the EU market and conditions to enjoy preferential tariffs of EVFTA.
Along with that, businesses in Yen Bai province need to raise the conparativeness of import products; push up the trade promotion in EU markets; enhance the cooperation among enterprises.
