In 2021, despite being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, with the leadership and  direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the efforts of localities to overcome difficulties, production, business and service activities in 2021 in the province have achieved certain results in each industry and each field.

GRDP in 2021 is estimated to reach VND 19,739 billion, an increase of 7.11% compared to 2020. This is a good growth in the context that the whole country is being heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

Economic structure: Agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 23.17%; industry - construction accounted for 31.0%; services accounted for 41.33%; Product tax minus product subsidies accounted for 4.50%.

Total state budget revenue in 2021 is estimated at VND 4,366.0 billion, 70.2% higher than the central estimate, 9.2% higher than the provincial estimate, up 21.5% over the same period. Total local budget expenditure in 2021 is estimated at VND13,997.4 billion, 44.7% higher than the central estimate, 27.3% higher than the provincial estimate, up 11.1% over the previous year.

The industrial index of the whole industry in 2021 increased by 9.12% over the same period. Export turnover in 2021 is estimated at USD 226.3 million, up 36% over the same period, exceeding 2.9% of the year plan. Total retail sales of goods and social consumption services for the whole year is estimated at VND 21,170.2 billion, equaling 98.5% of the plan, up 9.59% over the same period. Total planting area of ​​annual crops in 2021 will reach 101,555 ha, up 0.02% over the same period; Average CPI in 12 months compared to the same period last year increased by 1.40%. For the whole year, the realized investment capital in the area reached VND 18,014.1 billion (at current prices), exceeding 0.08% of the plan, an increase of 9.31% compared to 2020.

The cultural and social fields have many positive results. In 2021, the whole province will create jobs for 22,151 people, reaching 113.6 percent of the plan; 3,835 people received unemployment insurance benefits. The whole province has supported to renew and repair 610 houses for poor households, households with housing difficulties, with a total support budget of 21,515 billion VND. Caring for people with meritorious services and policy families is concerned; social security is guaranteed. In particular, the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic has been well directed by all levels and sectors, contributing to the completion of the 2021 goals and plans.
