World Vision Viet Nam has implemented long – term development programs in Yen Bai province since 2003. With an operation budget of about VND 550 billion (nearly USD 26 million), interventions and support from World Vision Viet Nam have contributed to improving the welfare of communities and children in Van Yen, Tran, Luc Yen, Yen Binh, Tram Tau and Van Chan districts. It is the persident efforts of World Vision Viet Nam, along with cooperation with long – term local partners, that have significantly contributed to the improvement of heral – sanitation – clean water, livehoods, infrastructure and resilience to natuaral disasters of beneficiaty communities, especially most vulnerabale children in Yen Bai province.

Having speech at the working session, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc – Vice Chairman of Yen Bai PPC thanked Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay – Representive of World Vision Vietnam for paying attention to caring and supporting Yen Bai people.

Mr. Phuc also wanted World Vision Vietnam to continue to mobilize to build programs and projects to support areas in 6 districts of Yen Bai province. Mr. Phuc also commited that the province would direct to implement project efficiently and assign agencies and units to receive and manage  to use aid for the right purposes and with high efficiency.

The cooperation agreement is the basis for joint effort between Vision Vietnam and Yen Bai province in the next 5 years to support and improve the welfare of disadvantaged communities, especially the most vulnerable children. Based on this agreement, World Vison Viet Nam will implement agreements in 23 target communes in 4 districts, with a total operating budget of VND 223 billlion (USD 9.5 million).
