Just 65 years ago, on September 25, 1958, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province were extremely honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit and work. This was an important event, a sacred memory forever engraved in the minds and indelible feelings of officials, party members and people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province in general and Yen Bai youth in particular.

It was at the Stadium Stand that 65 years ago, Uncle Ho advised the people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province about the spirit of solidarity and patriotic emulation by increasing production and practicing thrift... Uncle Ho reminded the Party Committee and the government to take care of people's lives from big things to small things, how to improve life, everyone has food, clothes, medical care, children can study... Uncle Ho also expressed his hope that Yen Bai must compete to become “the best province" of the northern mountainous provinces.

Deeply imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, over the past 65 years, Yen Bai's youth have always strived, trained, united, and created in all fields, doing exactly as Uncle Ho advised. Yen Bai youth have actively studied and followed Ho Chi Minh's moral ideology and style. Many pervasive, practical and effective projects and tasks have been recognized by the Central Youth Union, party committees, local authorities at all levels and people.

At the festival, there was a folk dance performance and an impressive yellow 5-pointed star formation on the stadium along with images representing 65 years of Uncle Ho's visit to Yen Bai by 1,500 youth members from Nguyen Hue High School, Ly Thuong Kiet High School, Hoang Quoc Viet High School, Nguyen Du Secondary School and Le Hong Phong Secondary School. These are symbols of the ideals, belief in victory, bravery, wisdom of the Party, the longevity of the Fatherland and express the youth's pride in revolutionary traditions.

The festival is an opportunity for youth members and youth to express their love of Yen Bai youth for Uncle Ho; remind the children of Yen Bai province to remember, study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings, contribute their efforts and intelligence to building their homeland, and realize the goal of bringing Yen Bai to develop quickly and sustainably in a direction of "green, harmony, identity and happiness", striving to become a prosperous province by 2025 and in the group of leading developed provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region by 2030.
