In the first quarter of 2024, foreign-invested projects in Yen Bai province implemented investments with a total capital of USD 5.52 million, equivalent to about VND 135 billion, reaching 98.75% compared to the same period; the total revenue of enterprises with foreign investment in Yen Bai province reached USD 33.54 million, equivalent to about VND 823 billion, which was 155.35% compared to the same period. Taxes and state budget contributions from enterprises with foreign investment in Yen Bai province amounted to USD 5.34 million, equivalent to about VND 131 billion, which was 153.89% compared to the same period.
The total export turnover of enterprises with foreign investment reached USD 27.98 million, equivalent to 102.83% compared to the same period; the total import turnover of enterprises with foreign investment reached USD 9.66 million, equivalent to 10.42% compared to the same period.
In the coming time, Yen Bai province will continue to strengthen and improve the quality of investment promotion activities, create a transparent and open investment environment to attract foreign investors. It will enhance state management in the field of foreign direct investment, promptly address investors' proposals in accordance with current laws and regulations, and accelerate administrative procedure reforms in the evaluation of investment decision approvals and investment registration certificates.
It will also continue to urge and guide enterprises with foreign investment to implement projects according to the committed schedule. Based on existing potential and advantages, Yen Bai province will continue to attract foreign direct investment focusing on sectors such as agro-forestry processing industry, economic forest plantation, tourism development, and automobile assembly.
Yen Bai province will strengthen inspection, supervision, and evaluation of ongoing projects in the area to detect early difficulties and propose solutions to support enterprises in accelerating project implementation.
