Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting with Văn Yên District.

In 2024, with decisive leadership and direction, as well as the determined efforts of the entire political system and the people, the socio-economic situation in Van Yen district is expected to show positive changes, achieving significant results. The economy and society continue to develop stably, with most key indicators meeting or exceeding the planned targets by the end of the year. The quality of education and healthcare for the people is increasingly improving, and there have been notable advancements in the fields of culture, information, and communication. Efforts in inspection, citizen reception, complaint resolution, and anti-corruption measures have received significant attention. Tasks related to justice, administrative reform, and the reorganization of government agencies are being effectively implemented according to plan. The situation regarding national defense, political security, and public order is being maintained.

Among the 35 targets set for 2024, Van Yen district is projected to exceed 22 targets, meet 12 targets, and fall short on 1 target.

Van Yen district is determined to collectively address the consequences of natural disasters, focusing on restoring agricultural production, repairing transportation infrastructure, and swiftly completing plans to eliminate temporary housing for poor households and near-poor households facing housing difficulties, as well as those whose houses were destroyed in the floods. The district is actively implementing urban beautification efforts and developing new rural areas in preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration in 2025, while also welcoming the Party Congress at all levels and the anniversary of the district's establishment.

In concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tuan Anh, acknowledged and praised the achievements of Van Yen district in 2024, particularly its efforts in recovery after the floods.

To fulfill upcoming tasks, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized that with only 10 days left in 2024, Van Yen district needs to focus intensely on completing financial responsibilities and ensuring proper fund disbursement in accordance with state regulations.

In preparation for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, the district should continue to prioritize social welfare, organizing effective and meaningful programs to ensure that the people celebrate Tet joyfully and warmly. Additionally, proactive planning is necessary to enhance security and public order during the holiday.

Regarding the streamlining of administrative operations, the district should adhere closely to the set guidelines and plans, working with a spirit of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure that after the reorganization, staff can quickly engage in their tasks and fulfill their responsibilities well.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh also urged Van Yen district to strengthen the unity of all ethnic groups and the aspiration for development. This includes effectively utilizing all resources to achieve the comprehensive goals set forth in the Resolution of the 16th District Party Congress, implementing the Yen Bai Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, and planning for the construction of Văn Yên District through 2030 with orientations toward 2050.

Moreover, he called for a boost in administrative reform, improvement of the business investment environment, effective investment attraction, and development of various economic sectors. Finally, he encouraged the increased application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green economy, and digital economy.
