Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man presented the Second Class Labor Medal to Van Yen District

After more than 12 years of implementing the National Target Program for New Rural Development, Van Yen District has mobilized nearly 5.728 trillion VND to invest in upgrading infrastructure and fulfilling the criteria. The synchronized investment in transportation, irrigation, healthcare, and education has contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, while also promoting positive shifts in the economic structure.

With the collective efforts of the entire political system and the people, 100% of the communes in Văn Yên District have now achieved new rural standards, with 5 communes meeting advanced new rural criteria and 2 communes recognized as exemplary new rural communes. Mau A town has been certified as a civilized urban area. The district has also completed all 9 criteria according to the National Criteria for New Rural Districts for the period 2021 - 2025, with no outstanding debts for basic construction.

To date, the rural landscape has undergone significant changes; the rural environment has become increasingly clean and beautiful; the distinctive cultural values of various ethnic groups have been preserved and promoted; the economy is developing robustly, and the material and spiritual lives of the rural population in the district continue to improve.

With the achievements gained over the years, the Party Committee, government, and people of the various ethnic groups in Van Yen District have been honored with the Second Class Labor Medal by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On January 2, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No.01/QĐ-TTg recognizing Van Yen District, Yên Bái Province, as meeting the new rural standards. This marks an important milestone in the development history of Van Yen, opening up new opportunities and prospects for the district to continue building and developing, aiming to become an advanced new rural district in the 2026 - 2030 period, and ultimately achieving the goal of becoming an exemplary new rural district in Yen Bai Province.

During the ceremony, the Decision from the President was announced, and the Second Class Labor Medal was awarded to Van Yen District, along with the announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing Van Yen as achieving new rural standards for 2024.
