On May 19, in the mountainous commune of Kien Thanh, Tran Yen district (Yen Bai), the Provincial Business Association, the Yen Bai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association in coordination with the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Bridge of Happiness" for ethnic minorities.
The old bridge of Khe Ba Hamlet, Kien Thanh Commune will be soon replaced by the new ơne Bridge of Happiness.
Khe Ba Hamlet, Kien Thanh Commune has more than 70 households of Dao and Tay ethnic groups. During the rainy season, this area is often cut off by rising floodwaters, making it difficult for students to get to school.
Sponsors have donated 220 million VND, joining hands with the villagers to build a new bridge. According to the design, this is a lightweight, reinforced concrete bridge, 6m long, 3.5m wide, 90m long connecting road with 18cm thick concrete . After completion, the project will contribute to connecting traffic with inter-commune roads, ensuring travel in all four seasons, helping ethnic minorities in the area develop production.
Previously, sponsoring units organized meetings and presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, veterans, and war invalids in difficult circumstances in the area.
