Gioi Phien arrowroot vermicelli

To date, the city has 39 products certified under the OCOP program, including one 4-star product and 38 3-star products. Some notable 3-star OCOP items include: Gioi Phien arrowroot vermicelli, Minh Bao honey, Bach Vuong Vu white horse bone extract, Tan Thinh turmeric starch, and Tuy Loc safe tomatoes.

The OCOP program has significantly contributed to improving product quality and value, enhancing consumer trust and brand reputation. It has also opened new opportunities for wider market access, with some products already signed for distribution through major supermarkets and retailers.

To further support OCOP product visibility and consumer access, Yen Bai City has been ramping up trade promotion efforts by pushing these items onto to e-commerce platforms, expanding product reach and helping local producers grow their customer base.

In addition, the city has been working closely with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and local commune and ward authorities to support producers in participating in promotional events and marketing initiatives.

Yen Bai City has organized eight rounds of product showcases and sales at festivals, trade fairs, and shopping centers both within and outside the province. The city also supports participation in e-commerce platforms, has built 10 OCOP kiosks at Ben Do and Yen Thinh markets, and developed five successful production and business models funded by the Farmer Support Fund in communes: Au Lau, Minh Bao, and Van Phu.
