Leader of the National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology awarded collective trademark registration certificate "Bach Ha Rice" to Bach Ha Agricultural Cooperative.

With the advantages of the climate and soil, in the past years, Bach Ha commune has effectively implemented the project "Development of specialty rice production area in Bach Ha Commune, period 2013 - 2016". Therefore, in ​​Bach Ha commune there are many positive changes in rice production. The commune has planned 100 ha to cultivate aromatic rice varieties for sale, and initially formed the area of producing high quality aromatic rice.

In 2014, Yen Bai provincial People's Committee awarded the title "Typical industrial products in rural areas" to Bach Ha rice and Bach Ha rice has regularly displayed at provincial and district agricultural products seminar and fairs. Currently, the output of Bach Ha rice reaches 55 quintals/ha/crop, selling over 300 tons of rice at an average selling price of 19 million VND/ton.

After 2 years actively implementing the project "Establishing rights to collective trademark to Bach Ha Rice for rice products of Bach Ha Commune in Yen Binh District in Yen Bai Province". The project has basically met the objectives and requirements set out and got the certificate of collective mark registration "Bach Ha Rice" by the National Office of Intellectual Property - the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Khanh highly appreciated the efforts of related departments, Yen Binh district and Bach Ha commune.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested to continue organizing and implementing the project on restructuring of agriculture in association with building new rural areas, boosting the development of specialty rice production, including the Bach Ha Rice .

He proposed to promote the research, application and transfer of new technical advances in the direction of safety, improve quality; Collective organizations, individuals and farmer households granted collective marks for Bach Ha rice need to promote link production along the value chain, linking production with consumption of products, strict compliance with regulations on using the collective mark for Bach Ha rice products to improve the economic efficiency of the production area and bring high income to local people.
