Recently, Yen Bai province has continued to effectively implement the task of attracting investment and business development, focusing primarily on improving investment environment, seeking potential investors and effectively solve and simplify administrative procedures in investment.

The province has successfully held a meeting with the Korean Small and Medium Business Association on the sidelines of the Vietnam - Korea Business Forum with a promising initial result. The highlight in attracting investment is the groundbreaking event to build the electronic components factory of Korean Edge Glass Joint Stock Company in Bao Hung commune, Tran Yen district and the inauguration of the Building Materials Factory Hoa Sen Yen Bai. In 10 months of 2018, 30 projects were granted investment decisions with total registered capital of VND 658.714 million and USD 1 million.
The projects that have been completed and put into operation promote business efficiency, bring socio-economic efficiency to the province and practical benefits for investors. These projects have made important contributions to promoting the transfer economic structure, improve production value, solve many jobs for the locality. Besides, Yen Bai has also welcomed many domestic and foreign investors to explore investment opportunities, conduct surveys to invest in projects.
Monthly "Business Cafe" program is effectively maintained by the Provincial People's Committee to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles to promote production and business activities of enterprises.
Along with attracting investment, business development also achieved positive results. In 10 months of 2018, new registration certificates were issued for 198 newly established enterprises with total registered capital of VND 1.968.729 billion. Of the 198 newly established enterprises, there are 18 private enterprises, 131 limited companies, 48 joint stock companies, and 1 FDI enterprise, raising the total number of enterprises in the province to 1,900 enterprises.
Enterprises have promoted the activeness, dynamism and creativity in production, business, access and market expansion, especially many businesses have invested, innovated equipment and improved their capabilities of production, diversified products and improved , competitiveness. Enterprises also have fully implemented all policies towards the State and employees as well as social responsibilities, contributing positively to fulfilling the objectives and tasks of economic development - social of the province.
