In the first two months of 2023, many economic indicators of the province had high growth compared to the same period. Afforestation was estimated at 5,431.2 ha; industrial production index increased by 7.9%. Industrial production value (2010 constant price) was estimated at VND 2,332 billion; total retail sales of consumer goods and services was estimated at VND 4,324.9 billion; the number of tourists was estimated at 342,500 visitors. Revenue from tourism activities was estimated at VND 217.7 billion; export value of goods was estimated at USD 38.2 million; State budget revenue in the area was estimated at VND 480.4 billion; total development investment capital was estimated at VND 2,545 billion… The field of culture and society continued to be stable and developed. National defense and security were maintained, social order and safety, and traffic safety continued to be ensured.

At the meeting, the delegates commented on the draft Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee, focused on exchanging and clarifying the results achieved in the first 2 months of the year and proposing solutions to effectively implement the tasks of March and the first quarter of 2023.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of branches and levels, the coordination of agencies and mass organizations in performing tasks, contributing to creating positive results in socio-economic development in the first 2 months of 2023.

He requested all levels, branches and localities to continue implementing synchronously and comprehensively the tasks and solutions according to the Action Program No. 135 of the Provincial Party Committee, Action Program No. 02 of the Provincial People's Committee; strictly and effectively implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic; closely following the actual situation to proactively and flexibly adjust tasks and solutions.

Reviewing and removing difficulties in the implementation of Resolution No. 69 of the Provincial People's Council; removing difficulties and obstacles, supporting and promoting production and business activities of industrial production enterprises and cooperatives; well performing the budget collection in March and the whole year 2023 according to the scenario of budget collection in 2023; synchronously deploying groups of tasks and solutions to promote disbursement of public investment capital in 2023; synchronously implementing solutions to improve business investment environment; strengthening epidemic prevention and control activities, ensuring medical work and ensuring food safety and hygiene; maintaining and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment at medical facilities…

Mr. Tran Huy Tuan also assigned specific tasks to departments and branches related to the fields of agriculture; industry, commerce, service; budget revenue and expenditure, capital construction investment; administrative reform, improvement of business investment environment; environmental resources; education; health care, government building, information and communication; defence security.
