Yen Bai has just experienced a historic flood with heavy destruction, with 54 people dead and missing; 25,263 houses damaged; 28 schools flooded, 37 schools collapsed...

The excitement of children at the kindergarten when receiving Mid-Autumn Festival gifts.

Immediately after the storm passed, with the joint efforts of the entire political system, on September 16, schools in Yen Bai province welcomed students back.

Promoting the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love and support", sharing difficulties and losses with people in flood-hit areas, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund coordinated with the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation and Vietcombank Nam Thang Long Branch to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for nearly 800 students from schools in Pa Hu commune, Tram Tau district. Of which, 560 were primary and secondary school students; 205 were preschool students.

In addition to candy, milk, and sausages for students in mountainous areas, the delegation also presented 2 televisions, 100 blankets, 20 sets of solar light bulbs, 1,000 meters of water pipes, and many stationery items to kindergartens and boarding schools.

Accompanying the delegation, a volunteer group in Bac Ninh province gave gifts and money to the families of 30 students whose houses were damaged by landslides and storms.

“With the spirit of mutual love and not leaving anyone behind, trade unions at all levels in Yen Bai province have joined hands and united to help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods. Today's program is a meaningful activity so that students in areas affected by storms and floods can fully celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival,” said Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation.
