Specifically, Mu Cang Chai district strives the proportion of service sector, tourism in the overall economy of the district reaching 15% by 2020, the number of tourists reaching 10% per year, respectively welcoming more than 60,000 visitors per year by 2020; more than 100,000 visitors per year by 2025; more than 25 guesthouses with 400 rooms, over 100 households for community tourism, creating new jobs for about 3,000 laborers by 2020; developing tourism in 3 seasons in the year: The season of rape - flowers in February and March; terraced fields in the water season in April and May; terraced fields in the golden season in September and October.. Developing Mu Cang Chai tourism associated with the national scenic spot of terraced fields, by 2020 researching and proposing to make the record of Mu Cang Chai terraced fields and submitting to UNESCO for World Heritage status in 2025.
To achieve the above objectives, Mu Cang Chai district focuses on developing and implementing provincial and district tourism planning projects; Construction of tourism development planning of the national scenic spot of Mu Cang Chai terraced fields; Construction of tourism area of Khau Pha pass in Mu Cang Chai district; Develop a project to plant peach, plum, Bauhinia variegata, Red Maple associated with Mu Cang Chai tourism development.
At the same time, the district constructs, plans to develop tourism forms, tourism services, and considers community tourism as the spearhead, cultural-historical tourism as the foundation; forms sightseeing - resort tours; Cultural and historical tourism; exploring, adventure ... gradually forms the specific tourism products of Mu Cang Chai creating strong attraction to tourists; Mobilizing investment resources to improve the quality of major tourism products, form characteristic tourism products of the area associated with specific and potential strengths of each zone.
