The leaders of the province, the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the departments, the People's Committee cut the ribbon open.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Do Duc Duy - Chairman of Yen Bai People's Committee, Mr. Ta Van Long – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nong Van Tinh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee; the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the leaders of departments, the People's Committee of Yen Bai City and many people in the province.

There are nearly 150 enterprises in and out of the province participating in the fair with nearly 300 booths. There are 30 booths by Department of Industry and Trade from provinces, and nearly 250 booths of enterprises inside and outside the province with diversified and diversified items, 32 booths in 9 districts, towns and departments.

Key items to be displayed at trade fair include agro - forestry - fishery products, food and foodstuff processing; goods of handicraft villages and handicrafts; garments, fashion; consumer goods and household goods; construction materials, interior and exterior decoration; power electronics...

During the fair, Yen Bai province also holds a conference linking supply and demand, creating conditions for enterprises and economic organizations in and outside the province to meet, discuss and sign the business contracts, the memorandum on the supply and consumption of products.

Mr. Do Duc Duy - Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Ta Van Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the exhibition booth at the fair.

Speaking at the Fair, Mr. Ta Van Long - Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Fair Organizing Committee stressed: "the Northwest Industry and Trade Fair - Yen Bai in 2017 is an activity with practical meaning for businesses in the province to have the opportunity to expand economic exchanges with domestic and foreign enterprises for investment cooperation, production and business development, and  exchange experiences in production and business activities, linking investment, expanding the market of goods trading, promoting their brands, images and products on Yen Bai market and other provinces in the North West as well as domestic and foreign markets the region and in the whole country. He wished, through the fair enterprises will have chances to seek opportunities for long-term investment and business cooperation in the northwestern region in general and in Yen Bai province in particular "

The fair will last until November 11, 2017.
