YBP - The 4th Van Yen Cinnamon Festival will take place in October 2022, including cultural, art, sport activities, photo exhibitions, and re-creating some traditional cultural rituals of the Dao people.

Thac Ba lake is known as “Ha Long on mountain” and is one of the three largest artificial lakes in Vietnam. The immense water surface with countless greeen islands reflected in the mirror of the lake, and the beautiful cave system deeply hidden in the heart of the limestone mountains have created Thac Ba shimmering, enchanting beauty.

A total of 2,022 people will join a Xoe dance performance of the Thai ethnic people on September 24 night when the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai receives the UNESCO certificate for this art genre.

Situated in Yen Bai, the northeastern province about 300km from Hanoi, Mu Cang Chai lies at the foot of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. There, in deep valleys surrounding the mighty Red River, you’ll see layer upon layer of stunning vertical rice terraces on the steep sides of imposing mountains. These agricultural works of art, the result of centuries of hard work, were ingeniously designed by ancient tribes to control the downward flow of water. In Mu Cang Chai, there are about 2,200 hectares of these rice terraces, 500 of which were named as national heritage sites by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2007.
